Twelve-year-old Catherine can't stand her autstic brother, David. She desperately wants a normal life. In one summer, Catherine meets three new friends, Kristi, Ryan, and Jason, who commincates through cards. But with her autstic brother in the way of her friendship, can she keep her new friends? I would recommend this book to others, but I think it has a very slim chance of winning the Mark Twain Award.
