Behavior management is an important aspect in any class. The school has three expectations which are included in the table to the right. It is important that we stay focused and behave properly so that we can learn the fifth grade curriculum. If a student's behavior disrupts the rest of the class, the student will be given a verbal warning, conference with the teacher, phone call to parents, loss of privilege, lunch detention, and/or meeting with the principal.

Most "homework" your child brings home is work he/she did not finish in class. The students are given plenty of time during the school day to finish most assignments. However, there will be projects assigned that students will have to do at home.
All assignments are expected to be turned in on the due date. Obviously, some emergencies do occur. When these circumstances arrive, please contact the teacher via note, e-mail, or phone. If the students do not turn in their work the day it is due, they will allowed to turn in the missing work the next day for full credit. However, any work that is not turned in the following day will have points deducted.
Please help your child be responsible for his/her work. It is important that the student stay on task so he/she does not fall behind. If there are any questions or confusion, please let me know as soon as possible. Together, we can make fifth grade successful!
