The Lightning Thief
Book Reviews

The The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is the book I read. In this book, a sixth grader named Percy Jackson discovers that he is the son of the Olympian Sea God, Poseidon. He must return stolen property, Zeus' Lightning Bolt before it is too late.

If you're reading this, take a moment to think, what would you do in Percy's shoes? What would you do if you found out that a biker you met was the Olympian war got, Ares? What if your Aunty Em was really Medusa? And what if a woman you met in the St. Louis Arch had a Chihuahua that was really a furious best? What if your Latin teacher trained Hercules? What if your Pre-algebra teacher was Fury? What would you do if you were Percy Jackson?

All the answers to these questions can be found in The Lightning Thief. This book is certainly one of my favorites and it could be one of your favorites too! If you have read, The Lightning Thief and loved it, then you'll love to read the second book in the series which is on the 2008-2009 Mark Twain list.

Read Lightning Thief. It has action, adventure, and possibly the betrayal of a friend. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Greek Myths.
