Brian's Winter
| Book Talk: Brian had never even taken notice of the signs that nature gave him about the impending fall and winter. By the time he had noticed it was already getting cold in the evenings. Brian had no clothing other than a rag for a tee shirt, pants that were worn and tennis shoes that were falling apart. After surviving for about 90 days on small game, fish and fowl, Brian must think about food during the winter when animals usually hibernate. And if he can find food, how will he hunt it in the snow with no clothing? When winter came it was so cold that when he used the bathroom his urine froze on the way down and broke of the cold ground. Would he be able to find shelter? Would he be able to stay warm with the clothing he had? Would he be able to eat? (Booktalks Quick and Simple)
